Kevin Donohoe

Owner

Kevin has been in the automotive repair industry for over 40 years. He started working at the Arco gas station as a teen. He then opened his first shop after graduating from Dianza College in 1981. He has since owned a shop in Prunedale and purchased Pacific Motor Service in 1999. His personal mission is to serve the community by keeping their cars safe and reliable. Kevin’s hobbies consist of cooking for his friends and family and being grandfather to his two beautiful granddaughters. While he will likely never retire, Kevin would like to spend more time exploring the country in an RV with his lovely bride Sue Anne and his Saint Bernard Dakota.

The best part of Kevin’s day is working with the clients that come through the door and taking care of the people on the Pacific Motor Service team.

Jim Hayes

General Manager

Before coming to us in 2011, Jim spent 15 years at Pebble Beach where he was a PGA golf professional. His positions included teaching and managing the instruction program at the Pebble Beach Golf Academy. Jim also served in the U.S. Army for 10 years, working in various intelligence and special operations units. Jim’s favorite roll as general manager is teaching leadership and personal development in our inhouse leadership development program. During his spare time Jim loves to hike with his dog and relax by maintaining his yard.

Jim’s favorite part of his job is the opportunity to coach and watch people grow while accomplishing their goals.

Beatrice Bird

Assistant ETI Specialist (Education, Training and Information Specialist) and Assistant Service Advisor

Cars have always been a passion of mine; I remember being about 7 years old, watching rally races and dreaming that one day I would own a rally car of my own. It was a goal I kept throughout my teen years that inspired me to start my own dog sitting business when I was 17 years old. After a few years of saving, I had enough to buy my dream car, a 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution. It didn’t take long until I knew I wanted to start a career in the automotive industry and was drawn to become a service advisor at Pacific Motor Service. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and riding motor cross bikes. I am in the process of getting my Evo ready for track days at Laguna Seca Raceway!

Dailey Altfeld

Technician. ASE certified: brakes systems; steering and suspension systems

Dailey grew up on the Monterey Peninsula and attended Pacific Grove high school. Dailey loves studying about and working on European cars, especially tinkering on his own classic BMWs. His hobbies are boating and jet skiing on the lake, watching old movies and listening to music. Dailey has been married since 2019 and plans on becoming a homeowner in the area.

Rory Parham

ETI (Education, Training and Information) Specialists aka Service Advisor

Rory hails from San Diego. He is an automotive enthusiast with many years of professional experience as a Ferrari technician, exotic parts expert, and restorer. He loves vintage cars, computers, and listening to music.

Kyle Van Vickle

ETI Specialist (Education, Training and Information Specialist) aka. Service Advisor

Kyle has been with Pacific Motor Service for over four years. He brings with him 15 years of experience in the automotive industry. Before joining the team at Pacific Motor Service, he served 6 years in the U.S. Air Force. When he's not helping people keep their vehicles in great shape, he enjoys hiking in Big Sur, and exploring the coastline with his son and daughter. 

Yumi Hayes

Office Manager

Yumi came to us from Pebble Beach almost 10 years ago. She has experience with world class customer service and knows how to get things done. She does a fantastic job keeping us all on the right path. When she’s not at work, Yumi loves watching baseball (Go Giants!) and spending quality time with her daughters.

Yumi loves the making the numbers match and taking care of the crew, making sure they have everything they need!
