Way too high of a price. $800 for a fuel pump and fuel filter on a 2002 Miata. Really? Shop around before you do business here
Hello Doug, I am sorry you weren't satisfied with the pricing of our service. It may be that you are comparing our price with what you would pay where you live in Arizona. Just so our readers understand the breakdown of the service from our perspective. If I remember correctly AAA referred you to us, and as you were traveling to Arizona, you absolutely had to be on the road the same day you brought it to us. Our service advisor, Rory prioritized your repair and called in a favor to get the parts delivered on time. The total cost of the parts was approximately $350.00 including the fuel pump, filter, pump screen and fuel tank seal. The labor was $357.94, which is reasonable for the work involved. (Add tax and a diagnostic fee.) We also included a $50.00 discount. I understand it is never enjoyable to have unexpected failures and the ensuing repair cost is equally unpleasant, but I assure you we did the best we could to help you get back home safely and in a timely manner.
