I was in there a few months ago I got about over $3,000 worth of work done on my car. Kevin was very helpful and I was very pleased with my service. The check engine was something that was supposed to be fixed, but it came back on so I took the car back in. He had someone check it out and we made an appointment for the following day for it to get fixed. Due to my schedule I had to cancel the appointment and didn't have time to come in until last week. I ended up being charged for the mechanic to "look into the problem" and see what needed to be fixed. It was my understanding this had already been done. Beau said "there aren't any notes so I don't know what they did". I was not happy with my second visit because 1) I don't feel I should get charged $90 for something that was already looked into and supposed to be fixed by you guys. 2) The service with Beau was no where near the service with Kevin. I felt I was taken advantage of and charged unfairly. First visit gets 5 stars. Second visit only gets a star because the problem was fixed.
Brianne, thank you for providing feedback on your service visit. I've spoken with Beau and looked into the concern/ correction to the evaporative emission control system (2nd visit). The assembly that failed and turned on the check engine light is designed to rout fuel vapors to and from a charcoal canister. These vapors cause “smog” if allowed to vent to atmosphere. Additionally, the valve that failed on your car would not cause any operational problems (making the car difficult to drive or feel unstable). The purge valve repair is truly an emission system related repair; necessary corrections to keep the air we breathe clean. Please call me at 831-717-2912 if you have any questions.
