I took my car to this shop after being quoted $8,200+tax at the Subaru dealership for a new transmission because the fluid had supposedly turned to “sludge” and would not drain from the transmission. However, I knew that wasn’t the case because my transmission had never given me and signs of failing (slippage, hard shifting, etc..). Upon starting the diagnosis at pacific motor service, they updated me immediately and told my the transmission fluid had not transformed into this so called “sludge” and was completely full and also that there was no need to replace the entire transmission. The issue was the valve body (the brain of the transmission), a much cheaper fix than the dealership quoted me. They ordered the parts and had my car fixed the next day. I’m not a local to the area and that’s why I went to the dealership first. But upon receiving the poor service and the lack of explanation at the dealer I highly recommend this shop over the Subaru department. Thanks for the amazing work guys!!
