Pacific Motors was prompt, professional an courteous. They accomplished the repairs and after payment, they helped with a glitch with the sunroof without charge. They broke down the reasons for their recommendations, did not get defensive when questioned and accepted my changes without hesitation. All in all, a very good job.

I got a check engine light on my Honda, and decided to go here to have them check it out. The guy was nice enough, but his first course of action was to charge me $230 for a full diagnostics. I found that to be extremely expensive for an initial look, and took advantage of the free error code reading from a flyer I received in the mail. It showed there was a small leak in my evaporative emission system, which according to Google, could be a bad gas cap. I got a new one at AutoZone for $10 that fixed the error code. $230 is an expensive test to tell me I needed a $10 gas cap. Find somewhere else to go.

Just to be clear, you are leaving a one-star review after receiving a complimentary service that fixed the problem?! That being said, a check engine light (malfunction indicator lamp) illuminates when an issue occurs that is effecting the emissions system of your vehicle. The discovery process potentially takes time (up to several hours) and the extensive knowledge of our expert technicians to complete. We have invested thousands of hours of training, tens of thousands of dollars into highly advanced technology (some of which you benefited from at no cost) to ensure our process is sound and comprehensive. The $230 inspection fee is an entry point that requires commitment to be sure; that is precisely why we offer a COMPLIMENTARY check engine light scan. We were able to scan your engines computer (free of charge) and give you a lead to a potential resolution which seems to have worked. I find it hard to understand why you accepted the free service from us and proceeded to leave us a poor review (I'll leave it up to the reader to make any character judgements). As far as I can tell by your review, you were not compelled to use our service or pay any fees. We would prefer you said thank you and went on your way.

The team a Pacific Motor Service did an independent engine noise diagnostic for me on a 2020 Acura MDX. Although they were not able to identify the source of the noise without a significant engine tear down, Kyle went above and beyond and contacted an Acura dealership service manager regarding the issue as he believes it may be a powertrain warranty issue. Excellent customer service experience!

Kyle is a wealth of knowledge and is completely transparent with their findings. I trust their suggestions/advice; it’s a relief to find an honest auto shop! My husband knows much more about cars than I do, and he’s been completely on board with what this shop has recommended. Win/win!

First time using Pacific Motor Service. We had a flat tire in Pebble Beach and had to use roadside assistance to have the car towed to the nearest auto shop that would change the tire. This was the nearest so this was where we landed. We received excellent customer service. Communication was cordial, clear and prompt. We ended up replacing all 4 tires (the tread on all was dreadful) and getting an oil change. The price was more reasonable than I expected. The tires were ordered and all work was done by the next day.
